Fiction
Sanity's Limit:
In 1984, Dr. Agnes Freeman began an experiment. By vowing to commit suicide on
April 1, 2021 she hoped to motivate herself to live fully in the moment each of her
remaining, numbered days. Now, fourteen days before she is to die, life offers one
last temptation - soul mate Westyn Lizbourne.
Westyn leads what some consider to be a cult of scientists. They’re perfecting
brain technology that will slowly degrade belief in God in an attempt to undermine
religion, which they see as the root of all "evil." When Freeman is persuaded to join the
group, she becomes the spokesperson for the group’s more moderate voices.
As her April 1 expiration draws near, Freeman is torn. Her love for Westyn has
led her to reconsider her suicide vow, yet she recognizes her unique potential to aid a
cause she believes to be of monumental importance - the triumph of moderation over extremism.
Ironically, by sacrificing herself and taking on the "unscientific" role of martyr, Agnes
can become a rallying point for moderation. In the end, Agnes must choose between living
for herself or dying for humanity.

On-deck:
When Angels Fly Away:
Penniless and manic writer Patrick Ely has no idea that his psychotherapist is actually an
hallucination - and getting better means ending that relationship, the most poignant he has ever
known.
In the Works:
The Iceman's Wail: While expert assassin Bobby Redd, the Iceman, waits on Death
Row for the killing of a girl, psychologist Lesley Keeper befriends him. Keeper has been hired
by the father of the murdered girl to treat the Iceman in what appears to be a magnanimous act
of forgiveness. As the story unfolds, it becomes apparent that the psychologist is also an
expert assassin, but an assassin of the mind. He systematically strips the Iceman
of all his defenses, and days before the scheduled execution, delivers to the victim’s father
the most satisfying revenge - the Iceman’s long lost humanity.
